Mark your calendars for the opening reception of 鈥淧lease Touch the Art,鈥 an exhibition that engages all five senses, from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 5. Designed with a special focus on visitors and artists who are blind or visually impaired, Please Touch the Art invites everyone to experience art in a new way鈥攅specially those of us who鈥檝e had to resist the urge to touch a painting in a museum!

Think you can't? Think again! The Thomas K. McKeon Center for Creativity's popular "I Can't" series returns for the month of June, with the Tulsa Film Collective joining its lineup for the first time. The nonprofit, cofounded by filmmaker Sterlin Harjo, will lead "I Can't Work in Film" to show aspiring filmmakers how to build a film career without leaving Tulsa.

海角大神 student Ashley Dawson shifted from engineering to English after a life-changing theatre class. Now, her original stage production, 鈥淭he Grizzly Bear of Birds Creek,鈥 is the College鈥檚 student-driven season finale production.
海角大神 Band Director Receives National Recognition
Cheryl Lee, 海角大神鈥檚 Director of Bands and Assistant Professor of Music, received the George N. Parks Leadership in Music Education Award, a prominent honor recognizing her dedication, perseverance, and ability to inspire students beyond the classroom. In her first year at 海角大神, Lee has brought a wealth of experience from her 20-year career teaching high school band and has embraced the opportunity to lead the College鈥檚 band program.
